TiidyA Hidden Bar alternative for macOS 27.
If Hidden Bar stopped hiding anything after you updated to macOS 27, you're not alone. The App Store version can't hide icons on 27. Hidden Bar's direct download can, and it's free. Tiidy is the other option: it works on 27 out of the box, gives you three places for icons instead of one, and sets itself up in a minute.

Why Hidden Bar stopped hiding
macOS 27 rebuilt the menu bar. The old trick most hiders used, a wide invisible spacer that pushes icons off the edge, no longer works: macOS simply drops the spacer. Hiding on 27 needs a new approach, and that approach can't run inside the App Store's sandbox.
So Hidden Bar's team built it into a separate direct download. If you installed Hidden Bar from the App Store, that version can't hide icons on macOS 27. Their release notes suggest quitting and deleting it before installing the direct build.
Same rules for TiidyTiidy isn't on the App Store for the same reason. It's signed and notarised by Apple, and it updates itself.
Three places, not one
Hidden Bar splits your bar in two with an arrow. Tiidy gives every icon one of three places. In the bar is always visible. Tucked shows when you click the broom, then tucks back. Buried shows only when you Option-click, for icons you almost never need but don't want to quit.
A minute to set up, then it stays tidy
Instead of Command-dragging icons one by one, Tiidy shows a card per app with a suggestion. Press ← Bury, ↓ Tuck or → Keep, or accept the rest in one click.
After that, a newly installed app's icon is tucked and asks where it should live, and icons you stop clicking are suggested for tucking, at most once a week. Nothing moves without your yes.
Same limitsBoth apps use the same macOS mechanism, so the clock, Wi-Fi, Sound and Control Center stay visible, and apps with two icons hide both.
