The terms.

You pay US$9 once. You can use Tiidy on up to three Macs, and every 1.x update is free. If it isn't for you, you get your money back within 30 days. The rest of this page is the detail, in plain English.

Who you're buying from

Tiidy is made by Petar Ceklic in Perth, Western Australia. It's sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the reseller and merchant of record. That means Lemon Squeezy sells Tiidy to you, takes the payment, charges any tax that applies and sends your receipt. Their own buyer terms also apply to the purchase.

These terms cover the licence and your use of the app. By buying or using Tiidy, you agree to them.

Why Lemon SqueezyThey handle sales tax, GST and VAT around the world, so you're charged correctly wherever you live.

Your licence

One payment of US$9. No subscription. Depending on where you live, tax may be added at checkout.
Up to 3 Macs. Use Tiidy on up to three Macs that you use, for work or at home. Deactivate one in Settings to free its slot for another.
Free 1.x updates. Every version from 1.0 up to, but not including, 2.0 is included. If there's ever a Tiidy 2 that costs extra, the version you have keeps working.
It's a licence to use Tiidy. The app, its name and its design stay mine. Please don't share your key publicly, resell it, redistribute the app, or try to get around the licence check.

Beta versionsVersions before 1.0, like 0.5, are public betas. They're covered by these terms too.

The free trial

Tiidy is free for 7 days from the first launch, with every feature working. You don't need a card or an account.

When the trial ends, Tiidy shows all your icons again and keeps your layout, so it's all there if you buy. Settings offers Buy and Enter Licence. There's no nagging, and nothing is held hostage.

Where Tiidy comes from

Tiidy is not on the Mac App Store. App Store apps run in a sandbox, and the sandbox doesn't allow hiding other apps' menu bar icons. You download it from tiidy.app instead.

Every version is signed and notarised by Apple, so macOS can check it hasn't been tampered with. Tiidy checks for updates once a day and installs them when you say so.

What you need

macOS 27 or later, on a Mac with Apple silicon. It won't run on older versions of macOS or on Intel Macs. The free trial is the best way to check it suits your Mac before you pay.

Honest limits

Tiidy can only do what macOS 27 allows. Before you buy, you should know:

macOS keeps Wi-Fi, Sound, Control Center and the clock visible. Tiidy can't tuck those.
Apps with two icons hide both together.
A tucked icon that only changes its picture, not its text, can't pop out, because Tiidy never looks at pictures.
macOS hides iPhone Live Activities while icons are hidden, so Tiidy shows the whole bar while one is running.
Tiidy never moves an icon by itself. Quit it, and every icon comes back.

Tiidy relies on how macOS 27 works today. If a future macOS update changes that, Tiidy shows every icon and tells you. I'll do my best to fix it quickly, but I can't promise every future version of macOS will allow it.

Fail safeIf anything goes wrong, Tiidy's answer is always the same: show every icon.

Refunds

Ask within 30 days of buying and you get a full refund, no questions asked. The refund deactivates the licence. The refunds page has the details. This is on top of your rights under the law, not instead of them.

Warranty and the law

I test Tiidy carefully and fix problems as fast as I can. Even so, it's provided as is. To the extent the law allows, I don't promise it will be free of bugs or work with every app, and I'm not responsible for indirect losses, like lost time or lost data.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under consumer laws where you live, that can't be excluded. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Where the law lets me limit my responsibility for a failure, it's limited to supplying Tiidy again, or refunding what you paid.

In a lineIf Tiidy doesn't do what it says, you're covered. The law makes sure of that, and so do I.

Ending a licence

You can stop using Tiidy at any time. Quit it and every icon comes back, then move it to the Bin.

A licence is deactivated when it's refunded or charged back. It can also be deactivated if a key is shared publicly or resold, but I'll email you first if I can.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia. If something goes wrong, please email me first. Most things are fixed in a reply. If we can't sort it out, the courts of Western Australia can decide it, and you keep any right you have to go to the courts where you live.

Changes and contact

If I change these terms, I'll update this page and its date. The terms in place when you bought Tiidy apply to that purchase. How Tiidy handles your information is on the privacy page.
